The cultural capital of the Naxi people, one of the 55 minority ethnic groups in the country, Lijang traces its history back over 800 years, with the city developing from a trading post on the ancient Southern Silk Road.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Old Town of Lijiang - China and Shuhe Ancient Town. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Yulong (Jade Dragon) Mountain and Lijiang Spruce Plain. It doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Mufu Palace and take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Blue Moon Valley.

Kick off your visit on the 14th (Tue): take a stroll through Xintiandi, then get to know the fascinating history of Former French Concession, then shop like a local with Nanjing Lu (Nanjing Road), and finally don't miss a visit to The Bund (Wai Tan).
