The country's capital and largest city, Berlin is a diverse urban center boasting a lively nightlife and countless things to do.
Step off the beaten path and head to Memorial and Museum Sachsenhausen and Hauptbahnhof Leipzig. Shop till you drop at Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe) and Staatliche Museen zu Berlin - Preussicher Kulturbesitz. Step out of Berlin to go to Dresden and see Frauenkirche, which is approximately 2 hours away. There's lots more to do: admire the masterpieces at Pergamonmuseum, view the masterpieces at Camera Work, get a taste of the local shopping with Klassenfeind Gallery, and appreciate the history behind Brandenburg Gate.
