Often called "Kastropolis" because of its majestic Venetian castle, Corfu Town once featured such extensive fortifications that a force of over 20,000 soldiers defended them.
Let the collections at Achilleion Museum and Corfu Museum of Asian Art capture your imagination. We've included these beaches for you: La Grotta Beach and Paralia Agios Georgios. When in Corfu Town, make a side trip to see Barbati Beach in Barbati, approximately 32 minutes away. There's much more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of Saint Spiridon, pause for some serene contemplation at Monastery of Paleokastritsa, delve into the distant past at Old Fortress Corfu, and examine the collection at Casa Parlante.

One of the world's most ancient cities, Athens remains Europe's undisputed historical and cultural capital.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Mon): get engrossed in the history at Acropolis Museum, delve into the distant past at Acropolis of Athens, and then delve into the distant past at Erechtheion. On the next day, get engrossed in the history at National Archaeological Museum, then wander the streets of Plaka, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Kapnikarea.

Traveling by combination of flight and subway from Corfu Town to Athens takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and car; or take a bus. Zeus, the master of all gods from Greek mythology, allegedly grew up in a cave on Naxos, a small but fertile island in the South Aegean Sea.
Start off your visit on the 11th (Wed): enjoy the sand and surf at Plaka Beach, then take a stroll through Old Town, and then delve into the distant past at Portara. On the next day, steep yourself in history at Kastro and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Agios Prokopios Beach.
