Considered a cultural, artistic, and architectural jewel of Italy, Florence is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.Kick off your visit on the 4th (Mon): take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, learn about winemaking at Castello di Nipozzano, then savor the flavors at Castello di Pomino, and finally learn about winemaking at Azienda Agricole Frascole. Getting from Paris to Florence by flight takes about 5 hours. Other options: do a combination of flight and train; or drive. When traveling from Paris in March, plan for somewhat warmer days in Florence, with highs around 59°F, while nights are about the same with lows around 42°F.
