You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Tue): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika), take in the views from Szechenyi Lanchid, then contemplate the long history of Matthias Church, and finally make a trip to Fisherman's Bastion. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the long history of Liberty Statue, see the interesting displays at House of Terror Museum, then contemplate the long history of Heroes' Square, and finally ponder the world of politics at Hungarian Parliament Building.

Traveling from Bengaluru in July, expect a bit cooler with lows of 18°C in Budapest. You will have some time to spend on the 9th (Thu) before leaving for Vienna.
