A gateway to the island, Hakodate has gained a reputation for its waterfront attractions, its proximity to some of the island's most popular natural sites, and its seafood.
Hakodate is known for nature, historic sites, and shopping. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: take in the awesome beauty at Mount Hakodate, admire the striking features of Goryokaku Park, take in panoramic vistas at Goryokaku Tower, and make a trip to Hachimanzaka.

Singapore, Singapore to Hakodate is an approximately 12- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Time (SGT) to Japan Standard Time (JST) is 1 hour. Prepare for much colder weather when traveling from Singapore in April: high temperatures in Hakodate hover around 13°C and lows are around 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Mon) to allow enough time to take a train to Noboribetsu.

Perhaps the island's best-known hot spring resort, Noboribetsu has a long history of tourism.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Tue): find something for the whole family at Noboribetsu Date Historic Village, then take in the dramatic natural features at Jigokudani, and then take in the natural beauty of Oyunumagawa Natural Footbath.

You can take a train from Hakodate to Noboribetsu in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive. In April in Noboribetsu, expect temperatures between 13°C during the day and 3°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 14th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Asahikawa.

You can drive from Noboribetsu to Asahikawa in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Noboribetsu in April, you will find days in Asahikawa are slightly colder (8°C), and nights are about the same (6°C). Finish up your sightseeing early on the 16th (Thu) so you can catch the train to Sapporo.

Getting from Asahikawa to Sapporo by train takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In April, daily temperatures in Sapporo can reach 9°C, while at night they dip to 7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Biei-cho.
