Venice
Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
On the 23rd (Mon), admire the landmark architecture of Basilica di San Marco, contemplate the long history of St Mark's Campanile, take in the views from Ponte dei Sospiri, then admire the striking features of Doge's Palace, and finally appreciate the extensive heritage of St. Mark's Square. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Sant’Antonio, take in the spiritual surroundings of Scrovegni Chapel, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Basilica Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, then take a stroll through Cannaregio, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande.
