Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Appreciate the collections at Tokyo National Museum and Edo-Tokyo Museum. Shop till you drop at Ginza and Ameya Yokocho (Ameyoko). Take a break from Tokyo with a short trip to Tokyo Disneyland in Maihama, about 38 minutes away. There's lots more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple, admire the masterpieces at Ghibli Museum Mitaka, engage your brain at National Museum of Nature and Science, and examine the collection at Quark Museum.
