Well-known for the beautiful views of its famous Promenade des Anglais waterfront, Nice is an ethnically-diverse coastal port city on the French Riviera and the fifth most populated city in France.
Get some historical perspective at Vieille Ville and La cité médiévale. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Le Sentier du Littoral, Cap d'Antibes and Le Suquet. Step out of Nice with an excursion to Saint-Paul de Vence in St-Paul-de-Vence--about 32 minutes away. There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Villa Kerylos, pause for some serene contemplation at Cathedrale Saint-Nicolas a Nice, and examine the collection at Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild.
