One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
On the 15th (Wed), stroll through Cheonggyecheon Stream, wander the streets of Insadong, and then get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace. On the 16th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy breathtaking views from N Seoul Tower, thenadmire the striking features of Changdeokgung Palace, and then wander the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village.

Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Get a sense of the local culture at Senso-ji Temple and Kōtoku-in. Hase-dera Temple and Fukagawa Edo Museum will appeal to history buffs. Step out of Tokyo with an excursion to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine in Kamakura--about 1h 15 min away. You can fly from Seoul to Tokyo in 6 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry. In April in Tokyo, expect temperatures between °C during the day and °C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Tue) early enough to catch the train to Nagoya.
