Get in touch with nature at Hayama Sangaokayama Ryokuchi and Akiya, Tateishi Coast. Shop till you drop at The Hakone Open-Air Museum and Moroiso Shores. Change things up with these side-trips from Tokyo: Nokogiri Mountain Nihon Temple (in Kyonan-machi), Hakone-machi (Onsen Resorts, Fukazawa Zeni Araibenzaiten, & more) and Odawara Castle (in Odawara). The time zone changes from Philippines Time to Japan Standard Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Get outdoors at Mt. Yoshino and Akame Shijuhachi Waterfall. Shop till you drop at Hase-dera Temple and Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kyoto: Horyu-ji Temple (in Ikaruga-cho), Kurozuka Kofun (in Tenri) and Sakurai (Anashinimasuhyozu Shrine & Omiwa Shrine). There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at Jikko Cutlery, make a trip to Janja no Mizu, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Muroji Temple, and stroll the grounds of Ishibutai Tomb.

Traveling by train from Tokyo to Kyoto takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or drive. Expect a daytime high around 32°C in June, and nighttime lows around 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Mon) so you can take a train to Hiroshima.

Getting from Kyoto to Hiroshima by train takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. In July in Hiroshima, expect temperatures between 36°C during the day and 28°C at night. On the 4th (Thu), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
