On the 21st (Sun), take in nature's colorful creations at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, make a trip to Meiji Jingu Shrine, thentake in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple, and finally take a stroll through Ginza. On your second day here, wander the streets of Odaiba District and then admire the masterpieces at Tokyo National Museum.

Miyakojima

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Kick off your visit on the 23rd (Tue): kick back and relax at Toguchi no Hama, snap pictures at Irabu Ohashi, thensee some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, thenhead outdoors with Sunayama Beach, and finally step off the mainland to explore Ikema-jima Island. On the next day, don't miss a visit to East Henna Cape, enjoy the sea views from Higashi Hennazaki Lighthouse, thenkick back and relax at Aragusuku Beach, thenstep off the mainland to explore Kouri Island, and finally take in the views from Ikema Ohashi Bridge.

Ishigaki, the most populous island in the chain, features the country's southernmost city and acts as a transport hub for exploring the landmasses that surround.
