Lourdes is a small market town lying in the foothills of the Pyrenees. On the 17th (Sun), take in the architecture and atmosphere at Chapelle de l'Adoration., pause for some serene contemplation at Basilique de l’Immaculee Conception, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilique Notre-Dame du Rosaire. On the 18th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: take in the spiritual surroundings of Sanctuaires Notre-Dame de Lourdes, take in the spiritual surroundings of Le Via Crucis/ Way of the Cross/ Chemin de Croix, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Grotte de Massabielle.

In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Milan: Verona (Museo di Castelvecchio, Basilica di San Zeno Maggiore, &more). There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Milano, admire the landmark architecture of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, stroll the grounds of Monumental Cemetery, and get engrossed in the history at Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio.
