Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Circ Roma and Far Torredembarra will appeal to history buffs. Parish Church of Sant Roma and Montjuic Castle are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Venture out of the city with trips to Museu Moto Bassella (in Bassella), Illuminated Fountain (in Salou) and Museu Diocesa i Comarcal (in Solsona). There's still lots to do: take a leisurely stroll along Port Vell, wander the streets of El Born, and admire the landmark architecture of Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau.
