With a nickname like the "Pearl of the Orient," it's not surprising Shanghai offers some of the most rewarding attractions and activities in the Far East.
Shanghai Propaganda Poster Art Centre and island6 Arts Center will appeal to museum buffs. The Bund (Wai Tan) and Three on the Bund are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Next up on the itinerary: take a stroll through Tian Zi Fang, appreciate the extensive heritage of Former French Concession, take in panoramic vistas at Oriental Pearl Tower (Dongfang Mingzhu), and shop like a local with Xintiandi.

One of the oldest settlements in the Yangtze basin, Suzhou remains a complex, labyrinthine set of old canal districts, World Heritage gardens, and sprawling modern developments.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Thu): see the interesting displays at Suzhou Garden Museum, thenshop like a local with Pingjiang Road, and then admire the natural beauty at Humble Administrator's Garden. On your second day here, take an in-depth tour of Six Arts Museum and then take in the exciting artwork at Suzhou Embroidery Research Institute.
