Geneva, Switzerland to Tokyo is an approximately 17.5- hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly; or do a combination of train and flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 8 hours traveling from Geneva to Tokyo. The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
You've added Kyoto Station Building, Monkey Park Iwatayama, Bamboo Forest Street, and other attractions to your itinerary. There's much more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Kiyomizu-dera Temple, wander the streets of Gion, and contemplate the long history of Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine.

Traveling by train from Tokyo to Kyoto takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and bus; or drive. Expect a daytime high around 19°C in November, and nighttime lows around 10°C. On the 20th (Fri), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can take a train to Hiroshima.
