Chiang Mai, Thailand to Tokyo is an approximately 12-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of flight, taxi, and train. The time zone difference moving from Indochina Time to Japan Standard Time is 2 hours. In April, Tokyo is cooler than Chiang Mai - with highs of 22°C and lows of 12°C.
