Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Tue): wander the streets of Ciutat Vella. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 2nd (Wed): don't miss a visit to Placa Reial, then take a stroll through El Born, then admire the local landmark of Cascada Monumental, and finally stroll around Ciutadella Park.

Adeje to Barcelona is an approximately 6- hour combination of bus and flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Adeje to Barcelona. Traveling from Adeje in May, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be little chillier in Barcelona, with lows of 16°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Thu) early enough to travel to Valencia.

You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Palacio del Marques de Dos Aguas and Parroquia de San Nicolas de Bari y San Pedro Martir. Cuenca

Cuenca is a city in the autonomous community of Castile–La Mancha in central Spain. Step off the beaten path and head to Historic Walled Town of Cuenca and Museo de Paleontologia de Castilla-La Mancha. Step out of Cuenca to go to Huete and see Bodega Calzadilla, which is approximately 36 minutes away. The adventure continues: examine the collection at Museo de las Ciencias de Castilla la Mancha en Cuenca, pause for some serene contemplation at Ermita y Santuario de Nuestra Senora de las Angustias, surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and snap pictures at Puente de San Pablo (Saint Paul Bridge).

Getting from Valencia to Cuenca by train takes about 1.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Wed) early enough to catch the train to Madrid.
