The medieval town of Bruges centers around a canal, and the architecture of its historical district has made it a World Heritage Site.
You've added Ghent City Center, Church of Our Lady Bruges, St. Annakerk (St Anne's Church), and other attractions to your itinerary. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Gravensteen and Basilica of the Holy Blood. Your inner history buff will appreciate Saint Bavo's Cathedral and Historic Centre of Brugge. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Bruges: Ghent (Graslei and Korenlei & St. Nicholas' Cathedral) and Memorial Waterloo 1815 (in Braine-l'Alleud). There's still lots to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of The Princely Beguinage Ten Wijngaarde, make a trip to Burg Square, pause for some photo ops at Jan Breydel and Pieter de Coninck Monument, and take in panoramic vistas at Belfry of Bruges.
