As the country's biggest port and one of the busiest in all of Europe, Hamburg has a well-deserved reputation as Germany's Gateway to the World.
Here are some ideas for day two: stroll the grounds of Ohlsdorf Cemetery, take a stroll through Deichstrasse, then steep yourself in history at St Nikolai Memorial, and finally look for gifts at Alsterhaus Hamburg.
