Once a small fishing town, Yokohama was one of the first ports to welcome foreign trade in the 19th century, after which it grew into Japan's second largest city and a bustling metropolis.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Cupnoodles Museum Yokohama, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Kōtoku-in, and other attractions you added. Start off your visit on the 30th (Mon): see the interesting displays at Cupnoodles Museum Yokohama and then take a stroll through Minato Mirai 21. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 31st (Tue): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hokokuji Temple (Takedera Temple), make a trip to Kamakura Komachidori, then steep yourself in history at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Kōtoku-in.

Tokyo to Yokohama is an approximately 1-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or take a bus. In March, plan for daily highs up to 15°C, and evening lows to 7°C. You will have some time to spend on the 1st (Wed) before leaving for Osaka.

Your list of things to see and do now includes Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens, Port of Kobe Earthquake Memorial Park, Kobe Harborland, and other attractions. Get some cultural insight at Nara Park and Himeji Castle. Your inner history buff will appreciate Osaka Castle and Todai-ji Temple. Step out of Osaka to go to Nara and see Nigatsu-do Temple, which is approximately 1h 05 min away. There's more to do: take a stroll through Dotonbori and get a taste of the local shopping with Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Street.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
You've now added Arashiyama to your itinerary. Do some cultural sightseeing at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Kiyomizu-dera Temple.
