The lake port city of Otsu has a wealth of sites of historical and cultural importance and lies within close proximity to Kyoto.
Get in touch with nature at Omimaiko Beach and Rokuen. Visit Hieizan Enryaku-ji Temple and Muroji Temple for their historical value. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Otsu: Miho Museum (in Koka), Obakusan Manpuku - ji Temple (in Uji) and Ise (Aramatsurinomiya, Sengukan, & more). There's much more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mii-dera Temple (Onjo-ji Temple), identify plant and animal life at Nango Suisan Center, wander the streets of Stone Walls Temple Town Sakamoto, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Kurokabe Square.

Make your Otsu itinerary with Inspirock to find out what to see and where to go.
