A relatively new city, Miyoshi encompasses six surrounding rural districts into one.
On the 18th (Wed), indulge in Japan's hot spring tradition at some of the top local onsens, take in the views from Iya Kazura Bridge, take in the dramatic scenery at Biwa Waterfall, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Shiramine Shrine, then steep yourself in history at Kotohira-gu, and finally admire the striking features of Kotohira-gu Shrine Asahi no Yashiro. Here are some ideas for day two: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Hashikuraji Temple, get engrossed in the history at Kotohira Municipal Historic Museum, and then don't miss a visit to Kotohiragu shrine office.

Getting from Naruto to Miyoshi by car takes about 1.5 hours. Traveling from Naruto in March, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit cooler in Miyoshi, with lows of 40°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Thu) so you can catch the train to Kochi.

Explore Kochi's surroundings by going to Noichi Zoological Park of Kochi Prefecture (in Konan), Niyodogawa-cho (Nakatsu Valley & Yasuike Valley) and Nagoya Chinka Bridge (in Hidaka-mura). You can take a train from Miyoshi to Kochi in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of taxi and bus. In March, plan for daily highs up to 59°F, and evening lows to 44°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Sun) to allow time to drive to Matsuyama.
