Reims is home to Champagne--the most celebrated and celebratory wine in the world.
On the 27th (Fri), indulge your senses at some of the top wineries in the area, learn about winemaking at Wafflart Briet Champagne, and then admire the striking features of Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Reims. Here are some ideas for day two: do a tasting at Moet et Chandon Champagne Cellars, then admire the landmark architecture of Basilique Saint-Remi, then learn about winemaking at Champagnes Pommery, and finally steep yourself in history at Palais du Tau.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are Charles de Gaulle International Airport, Paris-Orly Airport and Paris Beauvais Tillé Airport. In December in Reims, expect temperatures between 45°F during the day and 33°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 28th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
