A fairly nondescript town, Ninh Binh acts as a base for explorations of the province of the same name, with the karst landscape and lush valleys that surround the town offering a wealth of scenic vistas of rice paddies and rugged rocks.
Get some cultural insight at Bai Dinh Pagoda and Hoa Lu Temple. Escape the urban bustle at Trang An Grottoes and Mua Caves. The adventure continues: tour the pleasant surroundings at Van Long Nature Reserve and make a trip to Bich Dong Pagoda.

Start off your visit on the 28th (Sat): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St Francis Xavier Cathedral. Keep things going the next day: contemplate the waterfront views at Perfume River, explore the historical opulence of Thai Hoa Palace, thensteep yourself in history at Imperial City, and finally steep yourself in history at The Flag Tower.
