One of the oldest settlements in the Yangtze basin, Suzhou remains a complex, labyrinthine set of old canal districts, World Heritage gardens, and sprawling modern developments.
Kick off your visit on the 16th (Sat): take in nature's colorful creations at Humble Administrator's Garden, walk around The Classical Gardens of Suzhou, thenexamine the collection at Suzhou Garden Museum, thenappreciate the extensive heritage of Shantang Street, and finally make a trip to Shihu Lake.
