Do some cultural sightseeing at Galleria Borghese and St. Peter's Basilica. Let the collections at Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel capture your imagination. There's lots more to do: admire the striking features of Pantheon, contemplate the long history of Roman Forum, delve into the distant past at Palatine Hill, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santa Maria in Trastevere.

Muscat, Oman to Rome is an approximately 10-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 3 hours traveling from Muscat to Rome. When traveling from Muscat in September, plan for little chillier days and cooler nights in Rome: temperatures range from 32°C by day to 18°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Ravello.
