Miyakojima

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Yonaha Maehama Beach and Kayaking & Canoeing. Take a break from the city and head to Sunayama Beach and Yabiji. There's lots more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Aragusuku Beach, take in the views from Kurima Bridge, discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and don't miss a visit to Boraga Limestone Cave.

Kick off your visit on the 16th (Mon): enjoy the sand and surf at Yonehara Beach, then head outdoors with Cape Hirakubozaki, and then enjoy breathtaking views from Tamatorizaki Observatory. Keep things going the next day: find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, take a leisurely stroll along Nishi Pier, and then kick back and relax at Kondoi Beach.
