Explore Kyoto's surroundings by going to Osaka (Osaka Castle, Dotonbori, &more) and Universal Studios Japan (in Konohana). If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Osaka International Airport, Kansai International Airport and Chubu Centrair International Airport. When traveling from Kyoto in March, plan for slightly colder days in Kanazawa, with highs around 13°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 3°C.
