Lyon

— 31 nights

Culinary Capital of France

Lyon is a historical city with a vibrant cultural scene as the birthplace of cinema, the silk capital of the globe, and the second biggest Renaissance city following Venice.
Step off the beaten path and head to Cathedrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Lyon and Boat Tours & Water Sports. Venture out of the city with trips to Cite medievale de Perouges (in Perouges), Les Grottes de La Balme (in La Balme-les-Grottes) and Clermont-Ferrand (L'Aventure Michelin & Cathedrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption). There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to La Renaissance Du Vieux Lyon, walk around Parc de la Tete d'Or, ponder the design of La Place des Jacobins, and take in the dramatic natural features at Les Gorges du Fier.
