Jewel of the Mediterranean

Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like El Born and Templo del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Playa de la Pineda and Capellans Beach. Explore Barcelona's surroundings by going to Pont del Diable (in Tarragona) and Beach Castelldelfels Barcelona (in Castelldefels). There's still lots to do: cast your line with a fishing tour, admire the landmark architecture of Casa Amatller, take an in-depth tour of Museu d'Història de Catalunya, and wander the streets of Barri de Gracia.

If you are flying in from Austria, the closest major aiports are Barcelona International Airport, Girona Airport and Reus Air Base. In July, daytime highs in Barcelona are 34°C, while nighttime lows are 25°C.
