Jewel of the Mediterranean

Barcelona, the country’s second-largest city, is a cosmopolitan urban center known for its throbbing youthful energy and stellar architecture.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like El Born and Playa de la Pineda. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Beach Castelldelfels Barcelona and Capellans Beach. Step out of Barcelona to go to Tarragona and see Pont del Diable, which is approximately 1h 30 min away. There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Templo del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, admire the striking features of Casa Amatller, steep yourself in history at Portal de Santa Madrona, and cast your line with a fishing tour.

To find where to stay, traveler tips, photos, and tourist information, refer to the Barcelona trip itinerary maker tool.

If you are flying in from Austria, the closest major aiports are Barcelona International Airport, Girona Airport and Reus Air Base. In July, daytime highs in Barcelona are 34°C, while nighttime lows are 25°C.
