Caguas, founded in 1775, is a city and municipality of Puerto Rico (U.S.) located in the Central Mountain Range of Puerto Rico, south of San Juan and Trujillo Alto, west of Gurabo and San Lorenzo, east of Aguas Buenas, Cidra, and Cayey.Caguas is located 20mi (twenty minutes to an hour by car) from San Juan and 40mi (an hour and a half by car; it may take longer because of mountainous area in between the two cities) from Ponce. Start off your visit on the 19th (Wed): examine the collection at Museo del Tabaco Caguas, explore by horseback at Hacienda Madrigal, then explore the landscape on two wheels at Paseo Lineal, and finally experience rural life at Hacienda Munoz.

Traveling by car from Quebradillas to Caguas takes 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and flight. In September in Caguas, expect temperatures between 90°F during the day and 78°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Thu) to allow time to drive to Dorado.

Dorado is a town and municipality in the northern coast of Puerto Rico (U.S.), 15mi west of San Juan and is located in the northern region of the island, bordering the Atlantic Ocean, north of Toa Alta, east of Vega Alta, and west of Toa Baja. Start off your visit on the 20th (Thu): pause for some serene contemplation at Parroquia San Antonio de Padua and then contemplate the long history of El Canuelo.
