A seaside playground in the Caribbean, Rincon was a small agricultural and fishing town until it hosted the 1968 World Surfing Championship.
On the 4th (Thu), visit a coastal fixture at Faro Punta Higueras. On your second day here, tour the pleasant surroundings at Crashboat Beach, explore the world behind art at Museo de Arte de Aguadilla y del Caribe, then stroll through Sandy Beach, and finally kick back and relax at Domes Beach.

For sixty years until 2003, most of the Isla de Vieques was closed off to the public, with the US Navy using the island's beaches and surrounding waters for drills and testing of new military machinery, such as bombs.
Take a break from the city and head to Caracas Beach and La Chiva. Discover out-of-the-way places like Secret Beach (Pata Prieta) and Kayaking & Canoeing. There's still lots to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Navio Beach, take a leisurely stroll along Malecon, take a pleasant ride with a tour on horseback, and stroll through Media Luna Beach.
