Tsu is the capital city of Mie Prefecture, Japan.As of August 2015, the city had an estimated population of 279,304 and a population density of 393 persons per km2. Escape the urban bustle at Odaigahara and Sone Highland. Popular historic sites such as Takinomiya and Kumano Kodo Magose Pass are in your itinerary. Get out of town with these interesting Tsu side-trips: Mount Odaigahara (in Kamikitayama-mura), Tahara (Pacific Long Beach, Sante Park Tahara, & more) and Tenkawa-mura (Ominesanji, Ryusenji Temple, & more). Pack the 5th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Laguna Ten Bosch. There's much more to do: take an in-depth tour of Okageza, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Yamato-hime Shrine, contemplate the long history of Nagahama Railway Square, and go for a stroll along the water at Futami-ura.
