Douarnenez, is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in north-western France.It is located at the mouth of the Pouldavid River, an estuary on the southern shore of Douarnenez Bay in the Atlantic Ocean, 25km north-west of Quimper. Attractions like Port Museum (Port-Musee) and Plage de Kerbourgnec make great kid-friendly stops. Change things up with these side-trips from Douarnenez: Quimperle (Biscuiterie de Kemperle & Le pont Lovignon), Eglise de Saint Ronan (in Locronan) and Pointe du Raz (in Plogoff).
