Alpine Capital of the World

"Situated near the massive peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges and, most notably, the Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and known as the Alpine Capital of the World.
On the 16th (Mon), get outside with Les Gorges de la Diosaz and then take the plunge with A2L-Parapente. Keep things going the next day: meet the residents at Parc de Merlet, scramble along the landscape with OXO Canyoning, and then glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area.

On the 18th (Wed), contemplate the long history of St. Peter's Basilica, then admire the striking features of Pantheon, then don't miss a visit to Trevi Fountain, and finally contemplate the long history of Colosseum.

You can do a combination of shuttle and flight from Chamonix to Rome in 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Start off your visit on the 19th (Thu): pause for some photo ops at The Little Mermaid and then get in on the family fun at Tivoli Gardens. Here are some ideas for day two: take in panoramic vistas at Rundetarn, explore the historical opulence of Rosenborg Castle, then get engrossed in the history at National Museum of Denmark, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Nyhavn.
