Famous for its original medieval district, Tours is famous for its cafes that serve regional wines and interesting architectural bridges crossing the river Loire.
Get a sense of the local culture at Le Chateau du Clos Luce - Parc Leonardo da Vinci and Chateau Royal d'Amboise. Venture out of the city with trips to Blois (Chateau Royal de Blois & Eglise Saint-Vincent-de-Paul), Balloon Rides (in Amboise) and Maurice Dufresne Museum (in Azay-le-Rideau). Orléans is a city in north-central France, about 111km southwest of Paris. Kick off your visit on the 21st (Wed): pause for some serene contemplation at Saint-Louis de Chambord, then steep yourself in history at Chateau de Chambord, then contemplate the long history of Domaine National de Chambord, and finally stop by L'Atelier des Chimeres. On the next day, steep yourself in history at Hotel Groslot, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Orléans Cathedral, and then explore the landscape on two wheels at Loire a Velo Cycle Path.
