A modern city and a major transport hub facing Seto Inland Sea, Takamatsu offers a bustling city lifestyle contrasted with carefully manicured, tranquil green areas at the foot of the mountains and the lava plateau.
On the 15th (Mon), take in the spiritual surroundings of Shiramine Shrine, contemplate the long history of Kotohira-gu, sample the tasty concoctions at Kinryonosato, then make a trip to Marugame Castle, and finally indulge in Japan's hot spring tradition at some of the top local onsens. On the 16th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: get engrossed in the history at Shikoku Mura Village, then go for a walk through Ritsurin Garden, then look for gifts at Kagawa Bussankan Ritsurinan, and finally see a show at Sunport Hall Takamatsu.
