Known nationally as an industrial heartland, Nagoya boasts a far more cosmopolitan and cultural core than its reputation would lead you to believe.
Nakasendo Walking Trail, Tsumagojuku has been added to your itinerary. Kick off your visit on the 2nd (Sat): hike along Nakasendo Walking Trail, Tsumagojuku, then don't miss a visit to Osu Shopping Street, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Atsuta Jingu Shrine, and finally take in panoramic vistas at Nagoya TV Tower. On the 3rd (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: examine the collection at Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, look for all kinds of wild species at Cherry Trees along the Gojo River bank, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Tagata Shrine, and finally explore the historical opulence of Inuyama Castle.

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Your day-by-day itinerary now includes Ginkakuji Temple as well as Kyoto Bike Tour - The Bamboo Forest & Arashiyama. Get some historical perspective at Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Ryoanji Temple. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Gion and Sanjusangendo Temple. On the 7th (Thu), contemplate the long history of Ishoan, appreciate the views at Arima Onsen, steep yourself in history at Kobe Kitano Museum (Ijinkan-gai), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ikuta Shrine, then wander the streets of Nankinmachi (Kobe Chinatown), and finally wander the streets of Kobe Harborland.
