A really lovely day out. Our kids loved playing in the grounds and watching the gold fish in the huge pond. Beautiful rose garden for them to run around. Great walk around the house and lots of interesting facts about Kipling. Really helpful and friendly staff obviously passionate about the history of the place. Great outdoor play area for kids. Highly recommend a visit.
What a wonderful gem this is! The house is stunning and the gardens beautifully manicured. The story behind the place is fascinating and if you are appreciative of the works of Rudyard Kipling, you will be positively spell-bound! There are three walks here that are pretty easy but with spectacular views of the surrounding area. The mill is definitely worth a visit too! Really, really enjoyed a day here!
