Have waited 50 years to visit Jane Austen's environs and wasn't disappointed. Well worth the admission and so interesting. Beautiful village and walked to her brother's abode, Chawton House but didn't have time to look around. The only disappointment was the condition of the grave of Jane's mother and sister Cassandra in St Nicholas' Church. Considering the part Cassandra played in Jane's life I would have expected the grave to have been better tended because I am sure that, like us, many visitors would have taken the time to pay their respects.

Absolutely lovely place to visit. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good disabled concessionary rate and a carer free but the upstairs only accessible if you are ambulatory. I really enjoyed my visit and will be back next time there's an event on!
