    This statue of Abraham Lincoln sits in Parliament amongst other prominent British and Commonwealth political leaders. It shows a dignified Lincoln standing regal above us. A chair is behind him with one of the traditional symbols of the American state shown on the on the chair. The dignity of this statue stands in stark contrast to the nasty successor currently occupying the exalted position of the American Presidency.
