Fashion and Textile Museum Reviews
I've ben meaning to go here for some time and happened to go when the exhibition is all about textiles (Feb - June 2020) - the receptionist did tell me this before I paid. Full price £9 - I paid... more »
Friendly staff. Designers Guild exhibition is brilliant. So many beautiful fabrics and information. However it is a small museum and there is no other exhibitions. Perhaps a little expensive..... more »
The Swinging London Exhibition was excellent today. This isn't a large space but it is well set out and it is used effectively to display clothes, images, furniture, patterns and textiles. For someone born just (just) a little too late to be part of the Swinging Sixties, I found it interesting and informative. Staff and volunteers are helpful and the shop is nice. All in all this exhibition is well worth a visit and isn't expensive for the amount of work that has gone into setting it up. The point about the cloakroom, made by another reviewer is valid but I don't think they have the people available to monitor the coats left. Admittedly, it was quite warm on the higher level. We kept our coats on to be honest. Don't wear a posh coat, then, if you want to hang it up!!! 😋 Otherwise, all was well and though there's no cafe, there are plenty of options locally. Great small museum! Another impressive event!! Thanks everyone!! I'll be back!!
