Hamleys stands as the world's oldest and largest toyshop. The flagship store in London spreads out across seven floors and holds about 50,000 toys. It has occupied its current location at No. 188-196 Regent Street since 1981, after having spent the previous 100 years up the street at No. 200. Browse the 5,000 sq m (54,000 sq ft) of retail space, which includes toys covering categories such as arts and crafts, action toys, build it, dolls, and vehicles. Famous toy brands like Barbie, Lego, and Fisher Price are all well represented here, and there are themed sections such as Harry Potter. The store also puts on daily puppet shows, activities, and competitions, so check the schedule before your visit. • We visit Hamleys on each visit to London, if to do nothing else but look around. If you can't find the toy you are looking for when at Hamleys, then it probably doesn't exist!! Each floor has...  more »

  • Toys selection is probably the best I've ever seen. However I gave this one star less than 5 because its always packed, full of people due to its popularity. No matter what time you go. I'd suggest expanding the store, that's the only problem I found and possibly have more lifts. It's difficult to get in the lift sometimes because at every minute there's approx 10 people waiting on each floor and there's only 2 lifts. It's a must visit place in London, so having a better store would make sense.
  • Amazing store. You just can't get out without buying something. Great collection. Coolest part is the staff that demonstrate some really impressive stuff such as quick painting, magic etc. Great location. Go with your wallet full :)
