Housed inside a modern architectural interpretation of a ship's hull, The Mary Rose holds the remains of the 1545 vessel the Mary Rose, and offers exhibits on England's rich maritime history. Glass cases display artifacts that survived several hundred years in the sea. You can handle authentic pieces and interact with displays. The main attraction is the reconstructed remains of the ship itself, viewable on three levels via a panoramic elevator. After viewing the Mary Rose, enjoy a snack at the on-site cafe, where the name of the ship may appear atop your cappuccino froth.     We visited many attractions 2020 / 2021 when we visited the UK for a family event. We used our spare time to visit lots of what Portsmouth has to offer. 10/10  more »

    it helped kill time but i bore easily and it did not stimulate me lots but i can see that for familys it wood be a lot better  more »

    10 stars and more! Really interesting and so well put together. I have been before but see more and ore each time I go. Today one of the original team of divers/archaeologists gave a fascinating insight into catering on the ship. So interesting, so knowledgeable and so enthusiastic. The icing on a wonderful cake! Oh what a fantastic day.

    This is an amazing ship! It really allows your imagination to take you back in time and really see what a difficult life it would have been on a ship like this. To be able to see the faces and belongings is breathtaking, if you like history I would highly recommend visiting this place.
