Emmetts Garden, Sevenoaks

4.3
#1 of 7 in Parks in Sevenoaks
Garden · Nature / Park
A Garden for all seasons; come and enjoy a peaceful woodland walk, learn about the Garden’s fascinating history, or search out some of the rarest plant species to be found in the UK.

Left forgotten at the beginning of the century, Emmetts was saved from the brink of destruction by the Trust who, since then, have striven to restore it to its former glory. The nearby ruins of what was once Weardale Manor and its exotic Gardens are testament to how close Emmetts came to being lost forever.

From tales of intrepid plant hunters, to breathtaking panoramic views over the Weald of Kent, Emmetts has everything to offer anyone that wishes to come and see.

  • Lovely gardens as you'd expect from the NT. A few different styles of gardens and walks which will cater to those of all abilities. There's a cafe more or less in the middle of the gardens with most of the usual NT fare. Could possibly use a few more tables outside. A large natural play area for the kids. Very dog friendly.
  • Visited a few times now and we always enjoy a peaceful walk and look around the garden. The smell you receive from the flowers is delightful. A beautiful kept garden for everyone of all ages and our four legged friends to enjoy.
