Calling all young adventurers! Climb into the trees and explore our specially designed Adventure Playground. Scramble up the nets to re-live the adventures of the daring explorers who journeyed in search of rare plants and seeds. From your lookout, can you spot the rare ‘Rhododendron Falconeri’, grown from a seed from the Himalayas?
The whole family can enjoy building dens together and discovering secret pathways through the gardens and woodland. Climb to the little Everest viewpoint and take in the incredible views of the Weald of Kent. Lose yourself in our Himalayan Maze and perhaps even spot our elusive yeti!
The gardens have an enchanting natural beauty and contain many rare and interesting species of trees and shrubs, many brought back by John Rogers, an explorer and contemporary of Charles Darwin, from the Himalayas in the 19th century. The garden will appeal to both keen gardeners and those who just enjoy beautiful gardens.
Today four generations of the Rogers family live at Riverhill. They have created a much loved, historic garden for theirs and other families to enjoy and to create lasting memories.
Riverhill Himalayan Gardens is a fabulous day out for the whole family.

Lovely garden with lots to see through the seasons. Rose garden was lovely today. But viewpoint, maze and play area were great too. Lots of paths to explore. Earl Grey tea was especially refreshing too. Filled in lots of I-Spy Countryside book on way home.
Was really impressed with the visit here, we were able to sample both the gardens and the tearoom. The gardens were amazing with a wide range of things to see and do, this is great for a family adventure or to enjoy a pleasant stroll. My children really enjoyed the playground and the viewpoint was well worth a visit. The sculptures added extra interest and when the children had lost interest they were able to explore the maze at the bottom of the hill. The tearoom was really good offering a wide range of teas with hot snacks and amazing homemade cakes. There is also a shop with some very reasonably priced objects for the garden. I would definitely recommend a visit.
