The Skirball Cultural Center is a place of meeting guided by the Jewish tradition of welcoming the stranger and inspired by the American democratic ideals of freedom and equality. We welcome people of all communities and generations to participate in cultural experiences that celebrate discovery and hope, foster human connections, and call upon us to help build a more just society.
Open to the public since 1996, the Skirball has established itself as one of the world's most dynamic Jewish cultural institutions and among the leading cultural venues in Los Angeles. Skirball Cultural Center reviews
The storytellers of the Noah's Ark story are very professional. Nice and fun atmosphere, I also enjoyed browsing your gift shop. I really enjoyed being there more »
I love the Skirball whether exploring solo or taking visitors. The museum is so accessible and as a family, we particularly enjoy the diverse programming. Highly recommend more »
Woke Black Folk is a phenomenal one woman show, and the Skirball was the perfect place for it. The center's grounds are super chill, clean, and inviting. The cafe was a welcomed sigh of relief as I headed straight (with an empty stomach) to the event from work. I loved the ambience of the place. And the theater was just right in size. I enjoyed my time there, and may go back during the day just to enjoy the grounds and eat at the cafe.
Very informative about the Jewish experience.. It's a nice place to spend an afternoon. Great place for a family outing. There is an art studio for projects for kids. It's well worth the twelve dollar admission. On Thursdays it's free. Or free with a Bank of America card on the weekend. Parking is about $15.00 During the summer there's music or dance or storytelling events. There's a small indoor snack area where you can buy sandwiches, salads and snacks or you can bring your own food and enjoy eating on the patio. There are several with lots of shade for a hot day. It's really nice. I highly recommend it.
