Get close to elephants and hippos at Lower Zambezi National Park, a protected wildlife viewing area along the northwestern bank of the Zambezi River. Gently sloping from a steep escarpment into a flood plain dotted with acacia trees, the park houses a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, zebras, baboons, and bushbucks. Colorful bee-eaters and over 400 other bird species populate and nest in these lush areas. A private game reserve until 1983, the park was declared national property to curb poaching and currently covers 4,200 sq km (1,622 sq mi).     The experience of the safari in the park was amazing..... The best is to enjoy the sunset in the middle of the bush with all the wild animals along with some sundown tea and snacks.
