Create an itinerary including Tjaetaba Falls
Stop at the top of Tjaetaba Falls for a picnic lunch or simply to admire the surrounding bushland, inhabited by wallaroos. To reach the lookout, cross the bridge over Greenant Creek, then walk up a gently sloping shady trail that follows the creek. Once at the top, take your time to enjoy the serene bushy surroundings and the views of the water tumbling over the edge of the escarpment. Note that this is a sacred Aboriginal site, so swimming is allowed only in the rock pools above the falls and not at the base. A visit to Tjaetaba Falls represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Litchfield National Park day trip planner to plot your vacation.

  • Such a beautiful and peaceful part of Litchfield. About a 20min walk into but very much well worth the visit. You can swim at top swimming area (top of the falls) and beautiful clear and spectacular views.
  • Beautiful place! Stunning walk to the top of the falls through bushland and then a dip in peaceful pools at the top. Go during the week, there is hardly anyone there!
